Limpeza da alma

Depois que a alma desperta para as coisas espirituais, fica ansiosa por perfeição. No entanto, à proporção que galga o caminho da evolução e, pelo raciocínio lógico, entende que perfeição é ausência de toda falha, percebe que nós, criaturas, nunca teremos a perfeição absoluta que é apanágio do Criador. Deve desanimar por isso? Não. Se não conseguir a perfeição, pelo menos pode fazer uma limpeza espiritual.

No Evangelho segundo Mateus capítulo 5 versículo 48, encontramos o conselho ou orientação ou determinação "sede perfeitos como vosso Pai Celestial é perfeito", mas Jesus sempre falava aos discípulos em linguagem que eles entendessem o que Ele queria dizer. Eles conheciam muitas coisas que achavam perfeitas, ou alguém tão bondoso, que por sua pequenez de entendimento, era perfeito. Foi a linguagem que, se levada ao pé da letra, é um contra-senso, pois o Mestre não aceitou o qualificativo de bom e disse que só o Pai é bom. Portanto Ele, Jesus, sabia que não era perfeito.

Na verdade, dentro do que nos ensina o Espiritismo, o que podemos fazer é eliminar vícios e construir virtudes, ou por outra, sublimar o mal. Dessa forma é possível a gente ir adquirindo conhecimentos e virtudes que, em conjunto, fazem a luz do espírito. Com esforço persistente podemos, gradativamente, limpar a alma, ou seja, nos limparmos. A sujeira é constituída pelos vícios milenares. À proporção que se os vai eliminando, a alma torna-se mais leve. Há até a expressão de "alma pulcra" em relação a Maria de Nazaré. Não era perfeita, mas era limpa.

Além dos chamados sete pecados capitais, a maior parte das pessoas tem suscetibilidades, maledicência, mágoa, rancor (a ira minorada), intolerância e tantos outros mais sutis que a gente custa a perceber e só com meditação profunda. Os defeitos percebidos em minha escala evolutiva, Chico Xavier não tem, mas ele sempre se disse cheio de defeitos. Portando os que ele tem, eu nem conheço. Ele sabe e sente.

Qual, pois, a nossa obrigação como espíritas? É eliminarmos pouco a pouco os defeitos que guardamos durante muitos séculos ou milênios. Não se podem eliminar todos de vez. O inimigo é solerte e, quando menos esperamos, lá ele volta sorrateiramente como, por exemplo, a maledicência que está em todas as rodas sociais. Mas podemos escolher um e batalhar por eliminá-lo. A luta é dura. Pode demorar mais que uma encarnação, mas, quanto antes fizer, melhor. Viveremos eternamente e já vivemos milhões de anos ou de séculos. Ainda estamos impuros. No Espiritismo há a máxima "fora da caridade não há salvação". Ainda não temos a Caridade que é o conjunto de todas as virtudes: benevolência, indulgência, devotamento, sacrifício, compreensão, tolerância, paciência, amor integral, sinceridade, lealdade, solidariedade, bondade, magnanimidade, benemerência, piedade, comiseração, etc. Algumas dessas virtudes muitos já têm. De evolução em evolução o espírito vai verificando que tem vícios antes ignorados e, nessa escalada, sempre haverá algo a ser retirado para a boa limpeza. Vai ao infinito. Perfeição absoluta, só Deus.

Cleaning the Soul

Once the soul awakens to the spiritual things, is anxious to perfection. However, the proportion who climb the path of development and, by logical reasoning, believes that perfection is absence of any fault, feeling that we, creatures, never have the perfection which is absolute prerogative of the Creator. Should therefore depress? No. If not reach the perfection, at least can make a spiritual cleansing.

In the Gospel according Matthew chapter 5 verse 48, we find the advice or guidance or determination "be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect", but Jesus always spoke to their disciples in the language that they can understand what he meant. They knew many things that felt perfect, or someone so kind, which by their smallness of understanding, it was perfect. It was the language that, if taken literal, is a nonsense, because the Master did not accept the category of good and said that only the Father is good. So he, Jesus, knew that it was not perfect.

Indeed, within that teaches us the spiritism, what we can do is to eliminate defects and build virtues, or by another, to sublime the evil. Thus it is possible for people to acquire knowledge and virtues, which together to form the light of the spirit. With persistent effort we can, gradually, cleaning the soul, with means, clean ourselves. The dirt is formed by ancient defects. In the proportion that we are eliminating, the soul becomes lighter. There is even an expression of "beautiful soul" in relation to Mary of Nazareth. She was not perfect, but she was clean.

Besides the so-called seven deadly sins, most people have susceptibility, railing, bitterness, resentment (anger minority), intolerance and many other more subtle that we understand the we delay to fell that and only in deep meditation. The defects perceived in my evolutionary scale, Chico Xavier have not, but he always said if full of defects. Therefore he has to, I do not know. He knows and feels.

What, therefore, our duty as spiritist? It is gradually removing the defects that we store for many centuries or millenniums. Can not eliminate all at same time. The enemy is sneaky and, when was not expected, he returns quietly, such as the railing that is inside of all social wheels. But we can choose one defect and fight to eliminate it. The fight is hard. It may take more than one incarnation, but as soon as you do, is better. We live forever and we already live millions of years or the centuries. We are still impure. In Spiritism there is the maximum "out of love there is no salvation." We do not have a charity that is the conjunct of all virtues: benevolence, forgiveness, devotion, sacrifice, understanding, tolerance, patience, love fully, honesty, loyalty, solidarity, kindness, generosity, sense meritorious, pity, commiseration, etc.. Some of these virtues several already have. By evolution in evolution the spirit its verifying the defects before ignored and, in this evolution way, always have something to be removed to the best cleaning. Goes to infinity. Absolute perfection, only God.
